Currently……… August 2017 Edition

Reading…… Clash of Kings – A Song of Fire and Ice #2Game of Thrones

Planning………My content. Surprised , Me too.

Watching………. Game of Thrones Season 2, Disney Movies , Probably old 90’s classic movies(That statement makes me sound old)

Listening to Luke Bryan, Thomas Rhett, and  Florida Georgia Line

Cooking Whole 30 approved  stuff, and coffee cake.

Eating Whole 30 Approved stuff , Trail Mix, and M&M’s . You know gotta keep it interesting.

Thinking of a lot of stuff. Life, Blog, Books. Everything and anything . Mostly how does the Solar Eclispe make you blind? , not from a biology standpoint but an astronomical one.

Going to work soon.

Dreaming of Fall nights with jeans and boots and sweaters and sweatshirts and shorts weather. Oh and Pumpkin Spice stuff( Yes, I know its out but it is way to early; at least lets get to September before the whole world goes basic white girl. )

Listening to T-Shirt by Thomas Rhett on repeat.

Annoyed with my split ends – I need to get a trim, the fact that at work we already talking about the “holiday season” , that I haven’t had a chance to go swimming a lot this summer, Having to reread a 900 page book because you waited too long to read the next one.

Drinking Coffee and Water. I like to keep it simple.

Wearing either shorts and a t-shirt or whatever will keep me comfortable at work where i wont freeze or get tooo hot. With a heat index of 100 don’t count out skirts and dresses. Oh and probably my Vans or Sperry’s.

Enjoying my days off, nice weather and taking my dogs for walks.

Asking people if I can anonymously mention people in my blog- but if you know me well enough one would know who I am talking about.

Figuring out how to possibly take #ootd’s and this whole blogging social media system.

Smiling because well I am actually writing again, I look cute.

Grateful for new people in my life, B, and old ones, M&C, that help me keep me from over reacting and realizing I do not have to be perfect right now.

Searching for ways to save money and pay off debt.

Buying foundation, clearance at Kohl’s-there is a great selection of Summer Spring stuff on clearance.

Learning a lot of stuff. Mostly if you don’t listen to your parents you will eventually get the lesson they were trying to teach you- just the hard way. Learning debt is actually really bad and puts a road block to your major goals.

Trying work on my blog, fitness and just life in general. Oh yeah majorly trying to get my finances in order.

Inspired by Bright Colors, good weather

Waiting for whatever is next.

Sitting either at the table or my desk. Right now its my desk.

Wanting to go to the pool after work, yall know with that 100 heat index.

Missing

Loving  my life right now.

  • Finish the 2nd Game of Thrones Book – A Clash of Kings

  • Post Lilly that I no longer wear to Poshmark, Mercardi, and BST Boards on Facebook- Kinda did the opposite and bought from these boards. This is what made me realize that I had a problem.

  • Write THAT Email- started haven’t written in it since. Last night I thought of some stuff but of course I have by now forgotten.

  • Make and Keep 2 Friend dates

  • Get into a routine(Morning)

  • Come up with a Budget –And Stick to it– Contentment Challenge RESTART- Kinda did. Well I am recommitting to it for Lent and no more buying anything.I already blew it at Kohl’s because I was trying to get Kohl’s cash.

  • Come up with a Savings Plan

  • Plan for Blog going Forward- Once again kinda. I knew what my goals are for the year and the next three months , one of them being more consistent in posting is still my downfall. I did get a little notebook to carry around with me for when an idea strikes. I have the ideas I just have to actually write them – plain and simple.

  • Powersheets Prep 2017- Turns out I could put this on the next month

  • Keep up with Cultivate What Matters Book Club, She Reads Truth , and the In The Wait Study

Daily Goals:

  • Do stuff I know I need to do (Exjade and CPAP Machine)- I have mixed feelings about my CPAP machine and I know I did not take the exjade as often as I should and my ferritin level showed it. This shouldn’t be a problem because if I get too much iron in my body I can basically die- you would think that that would do it. It is just brutal on my stomach.
  • Drink Enough Water – kinda happened because I got a new water bottle and when I used it drank more water and in turn felt better.
  • Write something everyday- Nope

Blog- Tember Challenge: My Style

My Style

My style
If I had to describe my style I would have to say country Prep. I’m all about those Classics; those things you can throw with a million outfits and still look put together. And by classics I mean: ballet flats, cowboy boots, polo’s, dresses, skirts and a good pair of jeans.
A recent #OOTD

My style is definitely classic with a little something thrown in, I am more likely to choose color than a big blingy jewelry piece.
There’s a lot of styles that I don’t get: pre-tore jeans, crop tops and high- waisted jeans. I have nothing against those I’m just not that kind of girl.

SHOES: I would have to say cowboy boots, Sperry’s and flats are what I live in. Me and shoes do not get a long, once I find a pair that fits I go with it.
Of course when i look for a picture of my boot(s), i can not find one.
Jewelry: Simpler the better. I am definitely a southern girl when it comes to pearls, I wear them the most often. I’m a big fan of bangles and charm bracelets. AND I LOVE BOWS. #NoShame

Dresses, Skirts, Jeans and Pants: I go through spurts where I’ll just where dresses and skirts every day and then I’ll go to the opposite end and wear pants all the time. Pants and Jeans I love to dress up or down and if I can wear something Lilly, you bet I am. The more color the better.

My favorite Apps

MSince I’m just on my phone distracting myself I thought I would show you my favorite apps and why.

1. Pocket
If you are like me and like to read but don’t like read articles as soon as you find them this app is for you. I found it in the midst of the Eric cantor loss and still have to read all those. I also like that it cuts out all the junk so all you have is the article.

2. Twitter and Instagram
Kinda a given. I love it to talk to people and it’s connected to this blog. Great way to stay connected when I’m not bogging – lately which has been a lot. If you want updates they are more likely posted there instead of my blog.
Love Instagram for inspiration and keeping up with other bloggers I follow. You guys provide such an inspiration. I’ve found some great people that I want to read their blog from insta and hope to soon.

3. Blogger and Blogglovin
Blogger for days like today when I just don’t feel like getting my computer out to write a post. I know it doesn’t do as much as online but getting a post written lately  is hard enough. So anything that helps with that is a lifesaver.
Blogglovin is where I find great blogs to follow and since I don’t like opening my computer lately I thought why not. I love it because you can favorite posts and it comes back to read again. I do that with a lot of posts but especially Levo League.

4. The College Prepster App
Love her blog and now that I can it easier I even better. Carly is such an inspiration to me and when I need my head on straight again and a dose of reality inspiration I go to her blog. She is someone I look up to and inspired me to have start a blog.
5. My Fitness Pal
I’ve been trying to eat better so this keeps me accountable. Keeping accountable is important to me lately cause it makes me feel like I am doing something right when I get something like eating correctly down. #itsthelittlethings I’m realizing make life awesome and sometimes we just need to chill to see them.

6. Reminders and Calandar
I actually just recently started using Reminders. I love it cause it keeps my to do list straight but not so much cause it reminds me of what I’m not doing cause I feel like I got ran over by a truck. I have about 7 different lists and I use the set time function so it pops up on my phone and the constant reminder is there. It’s also connected to my outlook which is good. I like it just where I can see it. Other wise I forget. #itsthelittlethings happen here too. It feels great to cross something off a list and feel like I’m not being defeated by my illness.
