Since my new mantra since graduating is: JUST DO IT , I have been making a lot of lists. Most of these lists have to do with how I am going to get what I want and my brain in the right place……And this is my 101 in 1001. A 1001 days is about 2.75 years so that means having everything done by 9.2017. And it’s a list of everything I have really ever wanted to do so it’s a mixture between a bucket list and goals list. The time frame is perfect long enough to do the bigger things without the pressure of a year …. and short enough to grow with me while I check them off and finish it.

MSince I’m just on my phone distracting myself I thought I would show you my favorite apps and why.
If you are like me and like to read but don’t like read articles as soon as you find them this app is for you. I found it in the midst of the Eric cantor loss and still have to read all those. I also like that it cuts out all the junk so all you have is the article.
2. Twitter and Instagram
Kinda a given. I love it to talk to people and it’s connected to this blog. Great way to stay connected when I’m not bogging – lately which has been a lot. If you want updates they are more likely posted there instead of my blog.
Love Instagram for inspiration and keeping up with other bloggers I follow. You guys provide such an inspiration. I’ve found some great people that I want to read their blog from insta and hope to soon.
3. Blogger and Blogglovin
Blogger for days like today when I just don’t feel like getting my computer out to write a post. I know it doesn’t do as much as online but getting a post written lately is hard enough. So anything that helps with that is a lifesaver.
Blogglovin is where I find great blogs to follow and since I don’t like opening my computer lately I thought why not. I love it because you can favorite posts and it comes back to read again. I do that with a lot of posts but especially Levo League.
4. The College Prepster App
Love her blog and now that I can it easier I even better. Carly is such an inspiration to me and when I need my head on straight again and a dose of reality inspiration I go to her blog. She is someone I look up to and inspired me to have start a blog.
5. My Fitness Pal
I’ve been trying to eat better so this keeps me accountable. Keeping accountable is important to me lately cause it makes me feel like I am doing something right when I get something like eating correctly down. #itsthelittlethings I’m realizing make life awesome and sometimes we just need to chill to see them.
6. Reminders and Calandar
I actually just recently started using Reminders. I love it cause it keeps my to do list straight but not so much cause it reminds me of what I’m not doing cause I feel like I got ran over by a truck. I have about 7 different lists and I use the set time function so it pops up on my phone and the constant reminder is there. It’s also connected to my outlook which is good. I like it just where I can see it. Other wise I forget. #itsthelittlethings happen here too. It feels great to cross something off a list and feel like I’m not being defeated by my illness.
I am in love once again with the new Lilly Pulitzer Agendas. I have had two and love them both dearly for keeping me on top of what needs to be done and when. I have always gotten the large but after today I am thinking that I need the extra large for all that I have going on. Mind you , everything I am doing latley seems like to just stay afloat but that’s another story.
And the ones in the runnning for me come december are:
If I decide to stick with the size I have right now; which is a large I would get either Loopy or Lets Cha Cha in Blue.
But if I upgrade to the Jumbo I will get my all time favorite pattern TUSK IN THE SUN. And I love the addition of the green elephant.
And here is a picture that highlights all their features. At first I thought that spending $28 on an agenda was crazy. But then I used it and the rest is history.
So what size and print are you thinking of getting? Have you preordered yet? They are available online at the Lilly Website and Lifeguard Press.
Reading: I just finished Hunger Games: Catching Fire for the second time. I just now started This Town and am about to start Happiness and the Art of Zen after it came up so many times while reading The College Prepster.I just took the leap and just bought it on my Kindle, I am really excited to start it and hope that it will help me to see things in a positive light and be able to reposition how I respond to events and how to come back from the negative in a positive way. I also am almost finished with The E-Myth Revisted. It is a great book for those wanting to go into a small business themselves.
Watching: Oh where to begin on this one……. There are just so many good shows going on and do not know which ones to highlight; So ill just start with my ALL TIME FAVORITE show of all time……..NCIS and NCIS LA.
Doing: Lots of planning, actually doing some blogging, Interning at a Representatives District Office, and trying to get back to normal.
Learning: How to set up marketing for small business- Lots and lots of webinars- Html code- how to reposition myself to make the best out of things- where to find motivation when it seems I have lost ALL of mine- to like blogging again- how to write a business plan – how to sew
Whew. Its been a week. I feel like I always say that though. The past couple of weeks have been a learning experience about what works and what doesn’t. I guess that is part of being a part of new business.
The good news is that through all of this I am learning new skills.
I have just started my grad school search and process. So YAY.
I’ve been given more opportunities to use my skills at my internship so another YAY.
I am just tired and still lacking a routine which is annoying me. I like routines. I like knowing what is going on. It must be the type A in me. I guess if I really want to get my stuff done I just need to organize my time better and just do it.
I was thinking of going to CPAC once I found the great deal from YAL, but then airfare is killing me. So I think that’s a no go for this year. Mostly because I am broke.
Another thing that I have found: when the days aren’t looking that good and I do my SheReadsTruth devotion I feel much better. It’s a nice reminder that we are not in control and that HE has a plan for us. This is not to say we shouldn’t work with what we have and the opportunities we have been given.
That’s it for now.
Hopefully next week I can post some more. Or maybe schedule some posts this weekend. Now time to clean and do some research.
Well I have been obviously putting this off. I have had it written down in a notebook but its not quite the same as having typed up on the computer and on my blog where I have to be accountable , no not at all. That being said here goes my February Goals:
- Start Grad School Research
- Write One Political Post a Week
- Write down concrete steps for three major Goals
- Get into a routine again- Morning and Night
- Read 2 books
- Write/ Update my master Resume
- Renew Driver’s License
- Organize my time better
- Call him back
I originally got this idea from Maxie at Iloinspired. I found her blog, and McKenzie Horan’s blog from College Prepster and it could not have been at a better time with me just graduating from college this December and me going back to live at home. Since I am living at home I am in a totally new atmosphere than I am used to at school.
At school I had structure and knew exactly what was going on , which is something I like a lot. I am a very type a controlling person; I like to know what I am doing how I am supposed to do something and stuff. For the past month it has been all about making goals and what I want to do with my life and how I am going to get there.
I have realized one thing though, that if I want to accomplish my goals I have to go outside of my comfort zone. This has come from my parents, #SheReadsTruth and other people in different forms and after I have heard it a couple of times I figure they must be on to something. What that something is other than sounding a little crazy I have still to figure out.
Even though I don’t understand everything doesn’t mean I shouldn’t give it a try.
How I plan to live this year is with a #FreshStart , #JustDoIt and #WhyTheHellNot, #SteppingStones
I have been encountered with lots of opportunities that I need to take although I know I don’t know everything so that I can get to things I want in the long run.
Heres to making #2014 the year of big things.
The way I decided to do my resolutions was to pick major parts of my life that I want to improve upon and then concentrate on one group at a time. This is similar to what CollegePrepster did last year.
1. Confidence- Although I believe that I am pretty dang awesome and know what I am good at; which is politics sometimes I don’t think I am as awesome and I am and second guess my abilities.
2. Networking / Relationships – Given I have just graduated college and am always thinking about the future, this is important because I can use networking to get to know people in my field, which is important, especially in politics, to eventually get a job I want being able to help people.
And I am living in a new place and don’t know anyone. I need to get to know some people here and make some friends.
3. Organization- I thought I wouldn’t be as busy without college, nope, just as busy if not busier between juggling a job, and blogging. I also want to expand my blog so this will be important. I have already started with this given I have been moving into my room at home and working from home.
4. Faith- This is hard for me just because I went from having an AMAZING CHURCH/CC Family at College to knowing no one. I have also had a hard time accepting things in GOD’s time instead of MY TIME. I started doing a SheReadsTruth Bible Study with Carlee and loving it.
I plan on concentrating on one aspect a month and reading books and then implementing ideas from the books.
