Blog-Tember Challenge: Things I am Passionate about

This is an easy question that does not get asked often enough in my opinion. Most of the time people ask what you do for work or what you are studying in college. But without further ado, 1. God 2. Politics 3. Making a difference.
I am passionate about God because I have come to realize he always has a plan and our best interests at heart. He longs to meet us where we are at. And one thing I love about being #Catholic is ADORATION. I love hanging out with Jesus.

Politics is one I bet many people are like “How?” but for me it’s easy. I have always been interested in since high school and ever since I had to live through the 2009 meltdown it has been a large part of my life. I can also watch CSPAN and enjoy it which I have learned is not a skill that many have. I believe I can use it to help people which is the othe
I know these are serious so on other side,
Not serious side I am really passionate about
1. Harry Potter – Because he is what got me reading and what allowed to escape to another world when I needed.

2. Lilly Pulitzer – Well this is more borderline obsessive, I love it because her clothes are bright and cherry and it makes even the worse days seem better when I have Lilly on. The prints are amazing and remind me to be happy. And its nice to save my money for something I know is well made and I know I will get a lot of use out of.

3. Books – This is about the same reason as #1. Im a nerd and I know this and embrace this. My #wishlist has stuff from #thegeekycaldroun and #fandomofthemonth club.
4. Disney – Well how can anyone not like Disney ?? I actually know of some people, these same people believe I am too old for Disney but I believe otherwise.

5. College Football, preferably SEC and UGA.-Once football season starts………….Im a very different person. Go DAWGS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Blog-Tember Challenge: My ideal Day

<img src=”http://i62.tinypic.com/2u9pxe0.jpg” border=”0″ alt=”Brave Love Blog” />

My ideal day would first consist of me feeling awesome, this is important because it doesn’t seem to happen very often. #DBAProblems #Spoonie #DBA #IHateNeedlesToo I would then have a slow morning in which I would spend the morning reading and doing Bible Study. I would go outside until lunch and eat outside.
Recent Family Adventures

An adventure with my sister to Mayfield Dairy
mmmm , Ice Cream

Stanford Stadium; Between the Hedges
Go DAWGS!!!!!!!!!!!

Then I would love to go somewhere with my family or friends. Another facet of my idea day would be wandering around a bookstore all day and then get coffee or some other type of food and discuss politics with someone who actually knows what is going on in the world.
I would then love to find someone to watch some of Harry Potter movies with me. I would love to end the day with either ice cream or coffee and hanging out with my family or friends.
I would say Im easy to please…………nature, family and friends, book , adventure and food and i am content.

About Me- Blogtember Challenge

About Me, this shouldn’t be hard but it is. The simple common knowledge stuff is I am a 25 yr old college graduate and I still live at home. This is not something I am proud of but it’s the truth. And quite frankly while I have had health problems for the past year it is a blessing in disguise. I currently work at Kohl’s and dreams of going to grad school to earn my Masters so that I can go and work on the Hill. Oh and I graduated with a Political Science BA.
I enjoy reading and writing. I found out in college that I love to research. This is actually what I want to do on the Hill. Right now my life isn’t that interesting because my DBA is acting up. DBA is Diamond Black Fann Anemia, it is really rare and only about 500 people in the US have it. I don’t produce enough red blood cells and they die off early. It’s always been a part of my life but I try to not let it control it. In college I enjoyed helping out at blood drives and getting people to donate. If it weren’t for blood donations I would not be here today.
Oh and I am an also an INTJ/F. I alternate between Judging/Feeling. I’m talking about Myers-Briggs personality types. This is important because I am a girl it makes like a unicorn because in men it is really rare and in women it is even rarer. When I found this out it made me realize why I have always been so weird. Now I love to read about my type on the internet.

So that’s all about me, I hope to get to know my readers better….through this Blog-tember challenge and writing more consistently after this challenge is over.

Make March Happen

I am determined to make March Happen this year. It feels like I have new slate since I have started using #Powersheets and my #simplifiedplanner. It has taken me a long time to get here because I have had to come to terms with parts of myself I have been avoiding, like my relationship with fear , and being enough. I have a lot of resources that have helped me throughout this time which I will talk about later in another post but for now my March Goals.
1. Finish Make it Happen by Lara Casey. I am about 30 pages into it and it is already shaking up world.
2. Read 2 other books. I have recently rediscovered reading and am once again falling in love with it. I loved it as a kid and now I love it once again and have found a couple of fantasy series which I am loving along with some Christian Development Books.Books on my list include: Lean In, The Best Yes, Lets all Be Brave, 20 Something, 20 Everything, Zen and the Art of Happiness, and Bittersweet.
3. Work on my blog more consistently and write more posts.
4. Find another Part time job. My job now has been giving me crazy not steady hours and I need a more steady income.
5. Go outside my comfort zone. I have finally accepted the fact that if anything is to change I must be willing to go outside my comfort zone and try stuff I haven’t done before and take chances again.
6. Get my license soon. This has been harder than I thought it would/ should be. I just have to believe in myself and work on my anxiety.
7. Work on starting my own business. This has been in the works for a while. I have all the materials I just need to take the leap and start making them and getting the word out about what I sell.
That’s all for now. As I was writing I thought of #MakeMarchHappen. So here’s to making March Happen and kick starting a life of purpose.
8. Start on the contentment Challenge. It is something that has been on my heart to do for about a year but i haven’t taken the leap yet because I know its going to be hard, and Lilly Pulitzer is my weakness. It seems I always find a way to rationalize some purchase. Its gonna be hard but I can do it.

Where Ive been

Where I have been: Well I’ve been in between jobs and health problems. I’ve been working on myself and not exactly ready to show the world. I have to work on being daring and brave. This means I just have to do it.

#VowVoxBox Review : EcoTools Facial Sponge

The first product I am reviewing is from @EcoTools

EcoTools Pure Complexion Facial Sponge:

The verdict is that I liked it. It was the first time I had ever really used a sponge to wash my face, I mostly have always used my hands. The pros are: It cleaned my face well. The Cons were that it stayed soggy and it seemed to get dirty fast. I really enjoyed it and would probably use it again soon because the buff puff I am using now is a little rough for every day uses.
“I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.”

Planner comparison:Lilly Pulitzer vs. Simplified Planner

IThis is my second time trying to write this post. I am in the market for a new planner. I have used the large Lilly Pulitzer Planner for the past two years and loved it. The only problem is that lately it doesn’t seem big enough. As you know I recently just graduated and although I still live at home and am in a transitional phase I am busy.

Lately I’ve started my new job, startin a young adult group at church , starting my own bow business and starting the application process to grad school. So the planners I’m debating getting either the extra large Lilly Planner or The Simplified Planner. Each has their pros , cons, and similarities.
Now for the comparisons: the Lilly Planner
Pros: weekly and monthly views
       Multiple sizes
Less expensive; $38 compared to $58
      Colorful
      I’ve used it before
      18 months
Cons:
      Large is getting too small
       Everything runs together

The Simplified Planner:
Pros:
Same size I have been using
      Daily and monthly views
     Weekly views available
     Hourly spots to write stuff
     To do list spot
    Daily water intake
    Remember spot
Everything won’t run together
Cons:
       More expensive $58
       Only a year
      Less colorful

So here’s my pro and con list because I really can’t decide which one I like. I am leaning more toward the Simplified Planner but I love my Lilly one.I may get a small Lilly one for Blog Planning and then use the #SimplifiedPlanner for everytthing else. THoughts? What Planner do you use , and have you used either of these and what are your thoughts?

Monday Motivation

Comfort zones are unique things. They are what you are used to , they are safe. But if you want to change and become better you have to step out of it. If you are like me and like control it’s hard. You don’t know what is out there and how to deal with it. The latest “outside my comfort zone” thing I’ve done is meet with a girl about starting a young adult group at church and learning how to drive.
It’s hard to do but sometimes you have procrastinated long enough where you just have to do it. That’s driving for me. It’s been a learning experience.
Stepping out of your comfort zone is a neccesary step to have the best life possible. You can’t be scared of everything.

Monday motivation

This is my new motivation for everything. It’s what I should worry about instead of being perfect. It’s not possible to do it all and everything, especially alone, which is why I have to really recommit to doing my quiet time because it does make me have a better day and it does reminds of what is the real priorities and to just trust because my plan is nothing compared to to HIS plan. I just need to be more patient an quit trying to save the world and just worry about those closest to me. I can make a difference there and just need to try to not doing everything and just do something. As I write this I am eagerly awaiting my power sheets to use over the long weekend. Yay for the 4th and America.
